03 · The check

A badge can be copied.
A live check can't.

Anyone who gets your email can tap one link to check it. The check runs on Couri, not inside the email, so copying the footer gets you nowhere. It confirms who sent it and when. It does not claim the message contents are true, and it says so plainly.

The identity behind a verified sender is checked by Confrmo, which proves a real person is behind the account. You only need it if you want your email verified. Signing up and sending footers does not require one.
